Location & Parking

Massie Heritage Center is located at 207 East Gordon Street in Savannah, on the southeast corner of Taylor Square.

Driving

Street parking is available around Massie and Taylor Square. Although some blocks are unmetered free parking, most blocks are metered and are enforced by the City of Savannah Parking Services. Be mindful of signage and meters. All metered spaces are marked and numbered on the road. Meters are located nearby and accept credit cards. For convenience, download the ParkSavannah app in place of using a meter.

Public Transportation

Chatham Area Transit (CAT) bus stops are located next to Taylor Square along the east and west sides of Abercorn Street. Massie is located one block south of either bus stop. CAT's free DOT Shuttle runs west of Massie, along Drayton Street, and stops are within a 5 to 10 minute walk to the museum.  

School Buses and Motor Coaches

School buses may drop-off and pick-up students at Massie along the Gordon Street or Abercorn Street sides. However, parking must be done at designated locations near downtown. For non-SCCPSS school buses, contact City of Savannah Parking Services at 912-651-6468 for options.

Motor coaches are prohibited from most streets downtown. Permitted motor coaches may drop-off and pick-up at the designated motor coach taxi location on Lincoln Street at Jones Lane. Passengers visiting Massie must walk two blocks south on Lincoln Street, then turn right (west) on Gordon Street. Massie will be located on the left. Visit the City of Savannah's Parking Services for more information about obtaining permits and a map of approved drop-off and pick-up locations.
